Job Information

We are looking for an experienced welder who can move seamlessly between welding and doing some assembly work. They would be responsible for welding metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of welding processes. They would also be accountable for repairing broken or cracked parts, fill holes and increases size of metal parts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop welding parameters, procedures and fixturing for new applications
  • Clean and repair all detail materials for welding processing
  • Position and fasten work pieces onto holding fixtures
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, attachment, accessories onto machines
  • Follow the customer’s specific instructions and specifications
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
  • Prepare and analyze the necessary weld specimens to determine weld characteristics and adjust weld settings to achieve desired results with some assistance from QC personnel
  • The ability to operate all in-house welding equipment
  • Maintain records and documents in process inspection data as required
  • Work with a variety of materials including: steel, copper, aluminum, titanium, inconcel, and other precious metals
  • Perform troubleshooting and assist with tasks assigned from supervisor
  • Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to help diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs
  • Perform basic machine maintenance as require
  • Maintain part quality and quantity standards
  • Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains and foreign matter
  • Report faulty or unusual conditions to the appropriate level of supervision


This job is Temp-to-Hire!

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints; AWS (American Welding Society)
  • Tig Welding Certification recommended
  • 3-5 years’ experience in aerospace; equivalent combination of education
  • Experience with parts assembly in an aerospace environment preferred
  • Ability to use inspection equipment; micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, microscopes, vernier, I.D/O.D gages
